11/01/04: Congres Passes Tax Incentives

In October 2004 Congress passed the JOBS tax legislation that included tax incentives for biodiesel use. The incentives begin January 1, 2005 and are aimed at increasing use of biodiesel by lowering the cost to the consumer. The tax credit is 50 cents per gallon for biodiesel, and one dollar per gallon for “agri-biodiesel”.
